Carne Asada
Ingredients:
1 1/2 pound beef flank steak
1 (.78 ounce) package CHI-CHI’S® Restaurante Seasoning Mix
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
2 tablespoons lime juice
2 teaspoons ground cumin
Salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
1 cup CHI-CHI’S® Thick and Chunky Salsa
Cooked Mexican-style rice, to serve
12 CHI-CHI’S® Fajita Tortillas, warmed
Preparation:
1. Put steak into recloseable plastic bag. Add seasoning mix, oil, cilantro, lime juice, cumin, salt and pepper; seal bag. Rub mixture into steak. Marinate in refrigerator for 1 to 2 hours if time permits.
2. Prepare grill for medium. Cook steak on greased grill for 7 to 10 minutes per side or until meat is cooked to your liking, thickness of meat will alter cooking times. Cover and let rest for 10 minutes. Cut into thin slices.
3. Arrange meat on plate. Spoon over salsa. Serve with rice and warmed tortillas. Serves 6.
