Steak & Chicken Fajitas
If you make this fajita, it will fast become your family's favorite. Because it's made with spicy CHI-CHI'S® Fajitas Seasoning Mix and spicy CHI-CHI'S® Salsa.
1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts or beef steak, cut into thin strips
1 package CHI-CHI'S® Fajita Seasoning Mix
1 cup CHI-CHI'S® 16 oz Thick & Chunky Salsa Medium
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
2 cups thin strips bell peppers, preferably mix of yellow, green and/or red
1 medium red onion, cut into thin wedges
8 CHI-CHI'S® 8 inch Flour Tortilla Soft Taco Size
1. In large recloseable plastic food storage bag, combine chicken, fajita seasoning and salsa; mix well. Seal bag.
2. In skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Remove chicken; discard marinade. Add chicken to skillet. Cook, stirring frequently, 5 to 7 minutes or until no longer pink. Add bell peppers and onion. Cook 3 minutes longer or until vegetables are crisply-tender.
3. Spoon chicken mixture evenly down center of each tortilla. Top with desired Mexican toppings.
