Championship Chicken Wings
No other chicken wings are even in the same league as these. Made with a spicy mixture of picante sauce, honey, cumin and chili powder, it's the undisputed champion of snacks.
2 pounds chicken wings
2/3 cup ketchup
1/3 cup honey
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1 1/3 cups CHI-CHI'S™ Smooth & Spicy Picante Sauce Medium, divided
Ranch or blue cheese dressing for dipping
1. Cut chicken wings at joints; discard wing tips.
2. In large recloseable food storage bag, combine 2/3 cup picante sauce, ketchup, honey, garlic, cumin and chili powder; mix well. Add chicken wings. Seal bag; turn to coat. Put in refrigerator 2 hours to marinate if time permits.
3. Heat oven to 400°F. Remove chicken from marinade. Arrange chicken in single layer on greased wire rack over baking sheet. Cook about 50 minutes or until wings are cooked and glazed, turning once during cooking and basting with 1/3 cup picante sauce.
4. Serve with ranch or blue cheese dressing and celery sticks.
