Nachos Grande

Having a grande get-together? Serve nachos with grande flavor. This crowd-pleasing treat is made with spicy, inviting CHI-CHI'S® Salsa and CHI-CHI'S® Diced Green Chilies.


1 pound ground beef or chorizo sausage

1 cup chopped onion

2 (15-ounce) cans refried beans

1 (4.25-ounce) can CHI-CHI'S® Diced Green Chilies, drained

1 cup CHI-CHI'S® 16 oz Thick & Chunky Salsa Medium

1 1/2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese

1 1/2 cups shredded Monterey Jack cheese

16 ounces sour cream

6 ounces frozen avocado dip or guacamole, thawed

1/2 cup sliced green onions

1 (2.25-ounce) can sliced ripe olives, drained

Tortilla chips

Salt and pepper, to taste


1. Heat oven to 400°F. Lightly grease 13x9-inch baking dish.
2. In 10-inch skillet, brown beef and onion over medium-high heat; drain. Season with salt and pepper.
3. Spread refried beans over bottom of baking dish. Sprinkle with beef mixture and chilies. Spoon on salsa. Sprinkle with cheeses. Cover; bake 35 to 45 minutes or until heated through. Top with sour cream, avocado dip, green onions and olives. Serve with tortilla chips.
