Mexican Pita Pizzas
They'll say, "me gusta" about these Mexican pita pizzas made with a palate-pleasing combination of beans, cheese and spicy CHI-CHI'S® Salsa.
Ingredients:
4 pita fold breads
1 (15-ounce) can black beans, drained and rinsed
1 (16-ounce) jar CHI-CHI'S® 16 oz Thick & Chunky Salsa Medium, drained
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
2 cups shredded lettuce
Preparation:
1. Heat oven to 375ºF.
2. Place pita breads on large baking sheet.
3. In medium bowl, combine beans and salsa; mix well. Spoon over pita breads. Sprinkle each evenly with cheeses. Bake 14 to 18 minutes or until heated thoroughly and cheese is melted. Top with lettuce.
4. Cut each pizza into 6 wedges. Serve with additional salsa, sour cream, guacamole, sliced green onions and/or sliced ripe olives, if desired.
